Historique :	Des grandes orgues sont attestées à l'abbaye de Vendôme depuis la fin du 16e siècle. Au 18e siècle, on y trouve un orgue important à quatre claviers. Il est vendu en 1793 mais on ne connait pas sa destination. En 1845, l'abbé Caillé commande un orgue de choeur à la maison Daublaine & Callinet au moment de sa liquidation.
