Description :	Les sujets représentés (en général une figure sous une arcade) sont : la Trinité, le Christ, la Vierge, les Apôtres, les Evangélistes, saint Jean-Baptiste, les Rois mages, David, Judith, Lucrèce, les Vertus, seigneurs et dames en costumes du 16e siècle. quelques-uns comportent une scène à plusieurs personnages : Annonciation, Nativité, Apparition de l'étoile aux Mages, Annonce aux bergers, Baptême du Christ.

Historique :	Panneaux d'origines différentes et de qualité très inégale, provenant sans doute de coffres ou meubles sculptés. Ces panneaux auraient été rapportés de Menton, vers 1867, par le duc de La Rochefoucault, pour décorer la chapelle de son château de La Gaudinière, près de Chauvigny, alors en construction. Le château, incendié, a été acheté en août 1937 par la Société française douaisienne de reboisement, qui a donné à l'église de Chauvigny les boiseries de la chapelle épargnée par le feu.
